The tradition of welcoming guests at Strandcamping Groede dates back to the 1950s, when groups of scouts used to stay at the farm during the summer. Its location right on the beach was a key reason why many people chose to camp with the Van Damme family.

From the air
Seen from the air, the sea, the green polder and the farm shed are easily recognisable; together, they tell the story of the campsite.

Old farmhouse barn
The old farm barn serves as a reminder of the first campers and marks the campsite’s beginnings.

Camping in the meadow
It all started very simply with a little tent in the grassland around the farm, surrounded by nature.
