Groede Beach Campsite is the central starting point

The culture of historic towns and villages goes hand in hand with unique nature reserves, the sea and the beach in Zeeland. Explore the region on foot, by bike or take the car for a day out.

A wealth of museum gems and natural treasures

They won’t be put off by national borders or the weather. It’s no coincidence that our region in Zeeland is a blend of Zeeland and Flanders – a place well worth visiting, come rain or shine. As well as the Groese polders and the Cletemspolder next to the Strandcamping, there’s plenty more to discover.

Water Dunes

Right next to the Strandcamping lies this unique stretch of countryside with nearly 20 km of walking trails. You can quietly spot birds or watch the tidal culvert at work, whilst the children have fun in the play area.

With every high tide, the salt water floods into the area, resulting in a unique array of plants and animals. Nature knows no boundaries and can therefore be found in both the Netherlands and Belgium. You can walk or cycle around the area.

You’ll see that the region has more to offer than just sun, sea and sand as soon as you drive into the picturesque town of Groede. Immerse yourself in the history of West Zeelandic Flanders and visit the various museums, exhibition spaces and activities

Do you love visiting picturesque villages and towns? That’s perfect. West Zeeuws-Vlaanderen consists largely of picturesque villages that still exude a sense of history. Why not pay a visit to Groede, Ijzendijke, Sluis or Retranchement?

The beach and the Groese Polder are just 300 metres from the campsite, or you can walk further through the Groese Polders to Groede village to admire the well-preserved buildings, picturesque streets and lively market.
